The D-Link DWA-552 is a draft 802.11n wireless client designed for delivering high-quality wireless performance for at-home use. Designed for N-networks, the DWA-552 outputs up to 14x faster and 6x farther than a typical 802.11g network. However, it still maintains backward compatibility for use with an 802.11g network. In addition, the DWA-552 boasts three external antennas for enhanced reception, WPA/WPA2 encryption for improved security, and the ability to stream HD media when connected to an Xtreme N Gigabit Router (DIR-655 or DIR-660). Unlike its more fashionable cousin (the dual-band DWA-160), the DWA-552 adds along Yahoo Widgets Desktop Tools, while still maintaining its peers ability for Internet phone calling with VoIP. The D-Link DWA-552 retails for $79.99 and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.
