Edit

The D-Link DI-804 is a basic low-cost firewall and 4-port router for home networks. This unit has 4 Fast Ethernet ports that operate at a maximum of 100 Megabits per second. Security for connected users comes through the use of Network Address Translation (NAT) and IP sharing for up to 32 users, enabling a single IP connection to the Internet to be shared among a number of PCs. An internal DHCP server automatically assigns IP addresses to devices when they are requested. In addition to the Fast Ethernet ports, a port is available for a standard RS-232 connection, which allows the router to act as a dial-up modem. TCP/IP, UDP/IP and ICMP/IP protocols are all available.

Features
  • Hardware firewall protection for the PC
  • NAT and IP sharing for up to 32 users
  • Web-based management
  • DHCP server
  • RS-232 port for back-up analog modem connection
  • 4 x Fast Ethernet ports
  • Network Transport Protocol: TCP/IP, UDP/IP, ICMP/IP
  • Network Data Transfer Rate: 100 mb/s
