Pop healthier popcorn with hot air! The Cuisinart EasyPop Hot Air Popcorn Maker is exceptionally easy to use. Kernels go into a popping chamber – no oil is required – and hot air sends up to 10 cups of popcorn up and out the chute right into a waiting bowl. And it all happens in less than 3 minutes!

This is a appliance for families who love popcorn and eat it frequently. The Cuisinart CPM-100 is a little on the pricey side, but it does a good job of producing light, fluffy popcorn without added fat or artificial flavorings.

With 1500 watts of power, the popper works quickly, making up to ten cups of popcorn in less than three minutes. That's faster than a microwave!

Operation is simple. Just pour the desired amount of kernels into the popping chamber, turn on the machine, and watch the kernels pop. The Cuisinart CPM-100 uses hot air to pop the kernels - no oil necessary.

The popped corn comes out of the chute with vigor, landing in a bowl that you've placed in front of the machine. In less than 3 minutes you have a big bowl full of hot, fluffy popcorn, ready to enjoy. Popcorn has never been so much fun to make.

Unlike some other corn poppers, the Cuisinart CPM-100 has an on/off switch. You don't have to pull out the plug to get the popping to stop. This adds a little bit of safety to the product.

There is a butter cup on top of the machine to melt the butter for your popcorn. (If the butter doesn't melt enough during the short 3-minute popping session, you can put the cup in the microwave for a few seconds.)

Clean-up of the Cuisinart CPM-100 is easy. The chute and butter cup are removable and can be washed in the dishwasher. You may be interested to know that the plastic parts that come into contact with the popcorn are BPA-free.

If you've ever made microwave popcorn, you know that there is always a large number of unpopped kernels left over. However, the Cuisinart CPM-100 pops almost every kernel, so there's little waste.

You should always empty out any unpopped kernels and wipe off any hulls before making another batch of popcorn. Otherwise, the kernels may burn.

Popcorn Flavor Tips

The flavor possibilities for popcorn are endless. Just add melted butter and your favorite seasonings to a bowl of popcorn. With toppings added, popped popcorn will become much crisper and the flavors become more intense if it is heated with toppings in a 300 degree F oven for about 15 to 20 minutes before serving. For best results, heat it on a baking sheet lined with foil and coated with nonstick cooking spray.

The amount of seasoning depends on the intensity of the ingredients you are using – it is important to let your taste be your guide. Use olive oil for a little richer flavor, or grapeseed oil, which imparts no flavor at all to popcorn.

Popcorn Amounts
  • 1/4 cup of kernels yields approximately 7 cups of popped popcorn.
  • 1/3 cup of kernels yields approximately 10 cups of popped popcorn.
  • 1/2 cup of kernels yields approximately 15 cups of popped popcorn.
