The Coby SNAPP CAM5001 is a low-end camcorder replacing the CAM5000 at the top of Coby's lineup. Mostly notable for its pocket-sized form factor – only 0.7" thick – it shoots 720p video at 30 fps, representing Coby's highest-resolution offering. Like the CAM4505, it features a 2" display and 4x digital zoom, but it utilizes a higher-resolution, 5MP sensor to support HD recording. The camcorder supports memory expansion via SD/SDHC card, up to 16 GB. A battery life estimate for the included rechargeable battery is not provided. Included software allows videos to be edited and uploaded to YouTube on a PC, and an HDMI port and included cable allow HD video to be displayed at full resolution on an external panel.
