Pros

Minimal/simplistic design is preferred by many users - compliments dash lighting and reduces on-the-road distractions

1 agrees

Screen is large and clear - TFT color reproduction is vivid, especially when brightness level has been optimized

1 agrees

Build quality is rugged and reliable - incorporates less of the cheap, "plasticky" components common to lower-level receivers

1 agrees

Radio tuning is impeccable - HD stations are quickly located and played back with little to no intermittence

Cons

Drive contents (CD or DVD) will play automatically upon power-up, regardless of what was last played - sure to cause frustration amongst users, requiring discs to be ejected after each use

1 agrees

Prone to the "DVD loop issue" - powering the unit down while watching a DVD results in a continuous loop of only that chapter next time the unit is powered up

1 agrees

Lacks automatic power-on function - severe disadvantage as compared to units that start when the vehicle is turned on

1 agrees

Many functions are specific to the remote control - losing the peripheral can be very problematic, as DVD playback is virtually impossible to configure without it
