The Casio CTK-4000 is a low-cost keyboard with a 61 full-sized piano key layout. This is similar to the Casio CTK-3000, but doesn't have the pitch wheel seen in that model. Octaves and transposing can be performed automatically, however, and the number of onboard tones has been expanded to 570 different sounds. Otherwise they are the same, with a touch sensitive keyboard that responds to how hard each key is hit and a Step-up Lesson System that helps new users learn how to play the piano. 180 rhythms and effects are built in, enabling automated accompaniment, reverb or chorus effects. An audio input allows sampling from a digital media player such as a CD player or MP3 player, and a USB port allows interaction with MIDI devices.
