The PowerShot A495 is an entry-level point and shoot digital camera from Canon. Announced at CES 2010 in Las Vegas, this camera is a more feature-intensive version of the PowerShot A490. The A495 features a 10 megapixel image sensor and a 3.3x optical zoom lens. More sophisticated face detection capabilities, a face timer feature and additional color options separate the A495 from the A490. This camera’s automated nature enables blur-free images when used by the average user. Those who don’t want to constantly adjust settings will likely make use of the Smart Auto with Scene Detection technology, which will apply the best settings automatically based on 13 different scene presets. In terms of memory card compatibility, both SDHC and SDXC are compatible. Photographs can be reviewed on the 2.5-inch LCD screen. The Canon PowerShot A495 will be released in February, 2010.
