Edit

The Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM is a high-performance telephoto zoom lens. This is similar to the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM, but also uses Image Stabilizer technology that accounts for slight movements of the camera, accounting for up to 3 stops of shake correction. A "Mode 2" option also stabilizes images while panning to track a moving subject. The large focal length of 70-300 mm allows for a long zoom, and the autofocus reacts faster than the original Canon EF 75-300mm IS zoom lens by using USM technology. While zoom and focus extends the lens forward, the zoom ring has a locked position at 70 mm which helps prevent damage during transport.
