The Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM is a low cost telephoto zoom lens. The Micro USM autofocus allows rapid and silent focus on a subject, which when combined with the 4x zoom makes this lens suitable for shooting sports and wildlife. It should be noted, however, that features like floating lens elements and internal focus are missing here in order to keep the cost of the lens down. Zooming is smooth, with a focal length ranging from 75 mm to 300 mm. Zoom control is handled with a manual silver ring that can be easily adjusted on the fly. Despite the 122 mm length of the lens, it weighs just 480 g.
