The Cannondale Synapse Carbon 5 is one of Cannondale's cheaper professional bikes. At its cheaper price, it still costs over two thousand dollars, which is still expensive but a far cry from the six thousand dollar price tags of some of the company's other bikes. The bike comes built with a BB shell standard which drastically reduces the weight of the bike without affecting its stiffness negatively. The Hollowgram Si SL crankset combines with the frame to make the bike one of the lighter bikes available on the market. The Cannondale Synapse Carbon 5 uses specially shaped chain stays and a moderate bend in the seat stays to minimize the amount of road buzz the consumer has to deal with. It comes in three different color options: Race Red, Vivid Blue, and Jet Black, all with a Lightning White gloss.
