Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can you use other brand tape in this label maker?

No, the tape comes in a proprietary Cartridge. As matter of cact, you have to be careful to buy the ez tapes (or be prepared to modify either the cartridge or the loading slot ( the ez tapes fit in the older machines but without modification the old tapes do not fit in the newer machines)

  • Why do the batteries always quickly go dead, even though the unit is turned off?

I have this same problem. I don't have an answer to why it does that, but I now take the batteries out before I store it because I don't use it very often. I keep them in a sandwich bag next to the labeler. This way it saves the batteries. I think your question may be better directed at the manufacturer.

  • Can you use this to label freezer packages and have it not fall off?

I used Sharpie to write on the scrap tape (the part that was wasted at the beginning of the printing) & applied on the freezer bags. The tape did stay on the bags in the freezer. Btw, I use Brother Laminated, "TZe" Tapes.
