Edit

Firestone Precision Sport are performance tires designed for a variety of weather conditions. The accent is on reliability and handling, giving it a lower H speed rating as opposed to other Firestone line tires with S and W ratings. The tread pattern is designed to give performance handling in a wider variety of weather conditions, with large 3D block edge shapes to increase the stiffness of the tire for better handling. Wear is managed through the distribution of the tread slots and siping, which allows for the tire to wear down evenly. This has the added effect of keeping more of the tire in contact with the road, improving handling. Grooves around the circumference of the tire work to channel water out from underneath, increasing resistance to hydroplaning.
