The Boston Acoustics HPS 10HO is a medium-end, floor-standing speaker that features a 10” subwoofer powered by a 250w amplifier. The second speaker in the Boston Acoustics HPS series, the HPS 10HO is an upgrade from the HPS 10SE. It offers an improved nominal power output (250w versus 150w). The HPS 10HO, however, maintains all of its predecessors features such as a 10” Deep Channel woofer controlled by BassTrac circuitry designed for tighter/reduced-distortion bass, a high-output front firing rear ported DCD driver, speaker-level outputs, volume controlers, and phase switches. The Boston Acoustics HPS 10HO is priced at $449.99, a $100 increase in price from the inferior HPS 10SE. For $44.99 extra, the HPS 10HO can be customized with one of eight P.O.P. grille colors.
