The Bianchi Via Nirone 7 2300 (2011) is the base model in this line of road bikes. Though they have many specs in common, this model is a step down from the higher cost Via Nirone 7 Sora (2011) model in that the Via Nirone 7 Sora (2011) is equipped with a hydroformed aluminum frame, which offers more lightweight stiffness than the Via Nirone 7 2300 (2011) model's straight-up aluminum frame. The Via Nirone 7 Sora (2011) is also a nine speed model, whereas the Via Nirone 7 2300 (2011) has only eight speeds. Features shared between the two models include a Bianchi-made fork, which is comprised of an aluminum/carbon combination, a design that helps to ensure durability. Another shared feature is 6061 alloy handlebars, which contribute to a rigid feel.
