The B&W 802D is a 3-way floorstanding loudspeaker from B&W's high end 800 Series that handles up to 500 watts of power.  The speaker is an upgrade to B&W's Nautilus 802 and is designed with a curved cabinet that includes Matrix interlocking bracing for rigidness and stands on a heavy cast aluminum plinth.  It features the same layout as the larger 800D and 801D models with a 6" Kevlar cone FST midrange driver that is housed in a rounded Marlan enclosure and a 1" diamond dome tweeter positioned above the midrange.  The 802D has two 8" cone bass drivers which are smaller than the 10" bass drives of the 800D.  Each bass driver is equipped with a mushroom diaphragm and is re-inforced by a down-firing Flowport.  The speaker is available in real wood veneer finishes of Rosenut, Black Ash, or Cherrywood and comes with a black cloth grille.  It retails for approximately $7000 a piece.
