The B&W 800D is a 3-way floorstanding loudspeaker from B&W's high end 800 Series that handles up to 1000 watts of power.  The speaker is designed with curved cabinet with Matrix interlocking bracing for rigidness and stands on a heavy cast aluminum plinth.  It features a 6" Kevlar cone FST midrange driver that is housed in a rounded Marlan enclosure and has a 1" diamond dome tweeter positioned above the midrange.  The 800D also has dual 10" Rohacell cone bass drivers, each with a mushroom diaphragm and re-inforced by a down-firing Flowport.  The diamond dome tweeter is a very high performance tweeter that can handle frequencies above human hearing and works with the midrange and bass to produce realistic three-dimensional sound and a frequency response of 32Hz to 28kHz.  The speaker is available in real wood veneer finishes of Rosenut, Cherrywood, or Black Ash to match household decor.  It comes with a black cloth grille that attaches magnetically for a clean look and retails at approximately $12,000 a piece.
