The Audio Technica ATH-D40fs are enhanced-bass precision studiophones.  These are ideal for use in the studio with drums, bass or other low frequency sound sources.  The closed circumaural ear pieces can be rotated by 180 degrees to permit one ear monitoring.  The mass is kept to a low 8.8 oz (250 g) without cable by using 40-millimeter drivers with neodymium magnets and copper-clad aluminum wire coils.  The ATH-D40fs comes with an 11-foot cable with standard 1/4" connector which is attached to the phones with a left side exit.  The cable, elements and earpads are all removable/replacable if required.  These studiophones have a frequency range of 20-28,000 Hz.
