Edit

The ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 is a discrete graphics and video card for laptops that has full Microsoft Direct X 10.1 support for gaming and can play Blu-ray DVDs and other HD content at full 1080p resolution. This is the entry level in the Mobility Radeon HD 3000 series, all three of which are based on 55nm core technology. The basic difference between this and the Mobility Radeon HD 3600 and 3800 is the number of transistors(181, 378, and 666 million respectively) on the core and the memory type/bandwidth which in this case is 64-bit, with the next being 128-bit and the 3800 having 256-bit. The 3600 was the first to use 128-bit GDDR4 memory upon it's release in early 2008, and also(along with the 3800) has been implemented with a Ring Bus Controller with 256-bit and 512-bit capacities respectively for more efficient operation and even request handling. ATI PowerPlay 7.0 power management technology has been used to lower power consumption and extend battery life of your laptop, while ATI Avivo HD Video and Display architecture gives you the best possible viewing experience and the ability to fully enjoy the most advanced video games. Two display outputs and two controllers means you can run two monitors at once with independent display characteristics.
