The ATI FirePro V7800 is a high end video card built for gaming and CAD work. This is an upgrade from the ATI FirePro V5800, and uses the Cypress GPU with 1440 processors at 2.02 teraflops. The memory has been doubled in size and speed as well. While these features do make it a valid choice for gaming enthusiasts, later models such as the ATI FirePro V8800 adjust the speeds up slightly higher at a premium cost. Apart from these capacity and speed adjustments, the card designs remain the same. The card works in a PCI-E slot, and outputs to a Dual-link DVI connector and 2 DisplayPort connectors. This enables up to 3 independent 30 inch displays to be run simultaneously. High Dynamic Range (HDR) rendering enables the fast rendering of subtle color variations in 8, 10 and 16 bit modes.
