The ATI FirePro V5800 is a mid-range video card designed for gaming and CAD work. It is an upgrade from the ATI FirePro V4800, and begins to be appropriate for gaming hobbyists and professionals that need a cheaper alternative to the higher end video cards. It uses a Juniper GPU that runs at 1.10 teraflops, and uses a faster memory bus for the supporting 1GB of GDDR5. New functionality for High Dynamic Range (HDR) rendering allows for fast rendering of subtle colors in 8, 10 and 16 bit modes. Apart from this the cards are the same, with hardware acceleration of DirectX 11 and OpenGL 4.0. Up to 3 independent 30 inch displays can be used, and a dual-link DVI and 2 DisplayPort sockets are available.
