Edit

The ASUS G53 is the highend 15.6'' model of ASUS's "Republic of Gamers" (ROP) notebook range. It shares a similar design to the 17.3'' G73. The main selling point of this model is the optional 15.6'' LED backlit display with 3D (standard HD and Full HD options available). This display has embedded sensors and the 3D feature will be used with active shutter glasses. The G53 is powered by Intel's Core i series processors and Nvidia's enthusiast graphics with their "3D Vision" technology. Other features includes two 2.5'' standard hard rive compartments, optional Blu-Ray Combo drive, and up to 16GB of ram (quad core models only). Connectivity options include wireless-N, gigabit ethernet, USB 3.0 port, HDMI output, and 3.5mm audio in/out jacks. As with most gaming notebooks the G53 is by no means an ultraportable, but with it's rich set of features and powerful components it is a portable desktop replacement.
