The Asus M60J is one of two notebooks released into the Asus G Series during late 2009. It is based off the Intel Calpella Mobile Platform and features a PM55 Chipset. More importantly, it is the first laptop from Asus to incorporate Intel’s new Core i7 processor: either a 1.6GHz 720QM or 1.73GHz 820QM. It is also expected to include Windows Vista; but a free Windows 7 upgrade will most likely be available upon its release. The base features will include a 16” display, a 250GB hard-disc drive (upgradeable to 500GB), a built-in DVD player (Blu-ray optional), and 2GB of RAM (upgradeable to 4GB). The Asus M60J is especially geared towards gamers and other entertainment-enthusiasts, as it hosts an nVidia GeForce GT240M graphics card with 1GB of VRAM. This is more than enough to handle intensive, 1080P digital content.
