The P7P55D-E LX is an entry-level ATX motherboard from Asus, released in early 2010. This P55 board is compatible with Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors. A single PCI-E x16 slot is built-in for graphics cards, while users can expand their storage with USB 3.0 and SATA 6 Gb/s connections.

As an LGA 1156 socket motherboard, owners of the P7P55D-E LX can start off with an entry-level processor and upgrade down the road when needed. Overclocking is prominently featured with its TurboV software and various built-in cooling solutions. The included overclocking software allows enthusiasts to tweak settings directly from the Windows desktop. Users can also turn their standard power button into an “OC” button, enabling higher system performance on-the-fly. For gamers, Asus has included a single x16 PCI-E slot for graphics cards. Surround sound technology is also built-in, which includes high-def DTS decoding.
