The P7P55D-E is a mid-range motherboard from Asus, released in late 2009. This P55 board is compatible with Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processors and up to two individual PCI-E 2.0 graphics cards. Both USB 3.0 and SATA 6 Gb/s connections are built-in, preparing users for the next wave of PC storage options.

With the LGA 1156 CPU socket, owners of the P7P55D-E have a variety of Intel Core CPU choices when it comes to future upgrade choices. Overclocking is well supported with Asus’s 12+2 phase power design. This technology helps with power stability and therefore can lower system temperatures at the same time. Four memory slots are available for use with DDR3 DIMMS, which can be overclocked to 2200 MHz. Gamers will likely enjoy SLI support for NVIDIA cards, and quad-GPU support when used with ATi’s CrossFireX. Asus also includes a variety of proprietary features for making system tweaking easier.
