Edit

The ASUS M2N-X is a budget motherboard targeted towards the enthusiast crowd. It's socket AM2 which makes it compatible with all the latest Athlon processors including the dual-core Athlon X2s.

One of the standout features of the board are the four SATA ports. These come at the expense of other ports as there is only one IDE port that gets in the way of the SATA ports. A RAID controller is built in. The built in Ethernet connector is only 10/100Mbps as opposed to the more popular gigabit Ethernet found on more expensive boards.

I got the M2N-E recently, it was quite cheap and is working quite well. ASUS is one of my favourite motherboard manufacturers... them and MSI
