Edit

The Asus EAH5830 DirectCU/2DIS/1GD5 is a high end video card meant to serve the dual roles of a powerful gaming card and HD video player. The card has enough power to play most games at an acceptable frame rate, and video plays smoothly. While playing HD video, the card goes into an idle mode to keep the heat down so that the fan won't make as much noise.

The processor is a 800MHz ATI Radeon HD 5830, supported by 1G of DDR5 memory. The memory runs at 4GHz and uses a 256-bit interface with the processor. It uses a PCI-E 2.1 slot and outputs to VGA, DVI-I, HDMI and DisplayPort. The maximum resolution supported is 2560x1600, although on a standard VGA monitor it can only do 2048x1536. A CrossFire cable is included for those who wish to buy a second card and link them together for improved performance.
