The Asus EAH5670 is a mid-range graphics card aimed at casual gamers and people who want to take the graphics processing load away from on-board video support. While the performance is adequate for most common tasks, higher end applications and games will slow down quite a bit. The lower price of the card, however, may make it a good solution for bargain hunters who don't need anything extremely powerful.
The processor is a 775MHz ATI Radeon HD 5670, supported by memory running at 4GHz with a 128-bit interface. The card needs a PCI-E 2.1 slot, and can output to VGA, DVI-I, and HDMI. While it does support resolutions of up to 2560x1600, performance will decrease dramatically at this level of detail. Most users will tend to use this card in a 1280x1024 resolution. The card does play video well, and features full Blu-ray support.
The Asus EAH5670 comes in two models: EAH5670/DI/512MD5, and EAH5670/DI/1GD5. They have 512MB and 1G of DDR5 memory, respectively. Apart from the amount of memory, the two card models are otherwise identical.
