Edit

The Archos 101 is one of five Android Froyo tablets/PMPs that all feature the Android 2.2 ‘Froyo’ operating system and an integrated accelerometer. In particular, the 101 is a full-fledged tablet released as a direct contender to the Apple iPad. It features a 1GHz processor, 16GB of internal memory, microSD memory expansion, WiFi/Bluetooth connectivity, and an ultra-large 10.1” display that unlike its predecessor (the 70) is standard touchscreen—and not multi-touch. It's 30% lighter than the iPad, yet provides 12% more screen surface, and all this at a price significantly less than the iPad. Plus the screen is larger than the smallest netbook PC, and it offers a 1024x600-pixel resolution which is optimal for high-definition video playback. And it adds several components missing from the iPad, such as a camera for video chat, a USB interface, and an HDMI output.
