Edit

The Archos 605 GPS is an add-on to your Archos 605 WiFi device. The add-on is an arm and holder that attaches to your car's windshield. The GPS chip is actually contained in the arm itself, not the 605 unit. The intention behind the GPS addition is to enhance your 605, not compete with fully flushed GPS units. It's important to note that since the GPS chip is not contained in the actual 605, the GPS functionality is not portable and remains solely with the in-car unit. This makes it a cheap option for car navigation but not suitable for handheld purposes.

GPS Features
  • Voice-to-text commands
  • Touchscreen interface

The unit comes preloaded with TeleAtlas maps, with 3 location options: North America (U.S. and Canada), Europe (22 countries) or China. All Archo 605 functionality is still enabled while plugged into the GPS including WiFi, see the 605 report to read more.
