The AMD Sempron 210U is a microprocessor designed specifically for use in embedded applications such as ultra-thin notebooks or other thin devices like digital signs. Currently it is unavailable for consumer purchase. Like the Sempron 200U of the same series it uses 65 nm technology but has an improved clock speed of 1.5 GHz for better performance. It has support for numerous digital media instructions and an integrated DDR2 memory controller. It also has a single HyperTransport link, allowing point-to-point speeds of 800MHz and 6.4 GB/s of bandwidth. It also has 256KB of L2 cache. The Sempron 210U is capable of simultaneous 64- and 32-bit processing. The 210U's thermal design power is a comparatively low 15W, however this is significantly more than the same-series 200U which has a TDP rated at 8W. This increase in TDP is due to the higher 1.5 GHz clock speed seen in the 210U as opposed to the slower 1 GHz 200U.
