The Altec Lansing VS2421 multimedia system includes a pair of 2.5” speakers and one 5.25” subwoofer designed to fit conveniently underneath an office desk. A massive upgrade from the VS1520 and VS2420, the VS2421 offers a 56w peak power output (versus 16/6w), a 28w nominal power output (versus 8/3w), a superior frequency of 35Hz-20000Hz (versus 80/140Hz-15000/20000Hz), and a much improved signal-to-noise ratio of 80dB (versus 70/75dB). The VS2421 also includes a headphone jack, a secondary input jack for MP3/CD/iPod players, and a microphone jack (not included in previous models). In addition, the VS2421 features a wired external remote for easy fingertip control of volume/tremble/mute functions, not to mention a wall-mountable design that makes it simple for users to mount the speakers on their wall. The Altec Lansing VS2421 is priced at $49.95, a $20 increase from the $29.95 VS1520 and VS2420 models.
