The Altec Lansing inMotion Slim — also known as the iM500 — is a wafer-thin (.67”) iPod docking station built specifically for the iPod Nano. It is built just like a Nano: compact, lightweight, and super-thin. It is even foldable, making it easy to carry in a briefcase, backpack, or even in one’s hands. Keep in mind, however, that the unit only runs for 10 hours, assuming a batch of 6 fresh AAA batteries. While at a singloe location, it is recommend that the user power the device by a conventional AC cord. While in operation, the iM500 employs two custom, full-range drivers with built-in bass-enhancement technology; these ensure high-quality audio, no matter the location. Note also the system’s auxiliary input, which can be used to connect a laptop or CD/DVD player.
