The Acer X1261 is one of two Nvidia-3D-ready projectors (H5360, X1261) released in March 2010. They combine DLP projection technology with Nvidia 3D Vision technology to transform any flat surface into a 3D screen. As the lower end model, the X1261 is restricted to XGA resolution, but it does offer its predecessor’s 2500 ANSI lumens of illumination, a 3700:1 contrast ratio, a 50-120Hz vertical refresh rate, and the option to adjust the media to 16:9 for content coming out of a BD or DVD player. Unlike its predecessor, the X1261 does not sport an HDMI interface, but it includes everything else. It too features ColorBoost II+, which utilizes an optimized 3X color wheel and an advanced lamp waveform to improve color performance. 3D glasses are required to participate in the guaranteed 3D experience.
