Mafia II is an upcoming video game from 2K Czech and 2K Games. It is the sequel to the 2002 game Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven, and will be released on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 platforms, as well as PC. It features a cover system, a large variety of weapons, and context sensitive situations. The cover system allows a player to hide behind objects (which can range from generators to large crates) to shoot at enemies and avoid gunfire. The game also uses a large variety of weapons for the player to find and use. These weapons include some returning ones from the original Mafia game, such as the Thompson M1928, and the Colt 1911. They also include some new weapons, such as the M3 Grease Gun, and the MP28. Mafia II features context sensitive situations that allows the player to perform either a standard action, or a violent action. The player's choice may change certain aspects of the game. When compared to the previous game in the series, Mafia II not only features better graphics, but a larger amount of weapons and a brand new cover system as well.
